Hello my beautiful friends! I hope your week is going well so far. Since we are kicking off beach weather in Coastal Virginia, I want to share my beach beauty essentials. These are items I love to bring to the beach to keep my skin healthy and at its best. It’s so important to take your skin’s health very seriously. Take a little time to get your skin ready for the sun and you can enjoy your time soaking up that vitamin sea! There is nothing worse than coming home from the beach with sunburned, peeling and dehydrated skin. It’s not a good look and will most certainly age you rapidly. We don’t want that! Of course, in conjunction with these beach beauty essentials, don’t forget to drink tons of water to stay hydrated from the inside out! Now, let’s get to the essentials!

Sunscreen

I’m an avid sunscreen user, especially when I know I’m going to be outside. I recently got my hands on this mousse and it is life changing! The texture is incredible and it feels very lightweight on the skin. I remember thinking, “how is this going to to work since it’s a mousse?” But I was quickly proven wrong. This is definitely going to be my go-to sunscreen moving forward! Also, do you hate how sunscreen is tacky and greasy? This one isn’t! It just goes on your skin, absorbs and leaves a nice little sheen!  Plus, it’s water resistant for up to 80 minutes, so feel free to jump in and cool off! This sunscreen mousse has shea butter, blue sea kale and hints of cucumber and citrus, too.

Moisturizer

There’s nothing like the sun to dry out your skin in rapid time. Of course, drinking lots of water will help, but you’ll have to keep your skin moist. That’s where this coconut oil comes in. My favorite coconut oil for beauty purposes by far. Right after sunscreen, this is the second most important on my list of beach beauty essentials. This will definitely keep your skin soft, supple and fight the dryness of the sun. If I’m going to be out at the beach for more than four hours, I like to reapply. Oil is the best for fighting aging, so keep your skin full of moisture and it’ll look younger longer! Trust me on this.

I keep it natural at the beach when it comes to makeup, that’s if I wear any at all. I love a good facial mist to keep things fresh and hydrated. This one is my all-time favorite. Feel a little hot? Mist this. Need a refresher? Mist this. It’s a cult favorite and a must-have for makeup artists. I also use it after applying makeup to give my face a nice fresh glow. Sometimes if my makeup is looking dull, I’ll spritz this to rejuvenate it.

Now, let’s talk about this adorable one-piece swimsuit. I love the twist-side of this one-piece. They almost look like bows. One-pieces are all the rage right now, so I’m slowly adding a few to my collection. I have a hot pink one-piece from this brand and got so many compliments on it last summer. It’s a very flattering suit and is easy to wear. Plus, the open back lets you take advantage of the sun. I don’t think I would recommend this twist-side one piece for those with bigger busts. However, it’s ultra flattering for those with small busts. The high-leg cut is also extremely flattering for those who are petite, too!
