Happy Monday Y’all! I hope my friends who live in and near the Texas Gulf Coast are doing okay. I know so many areas are flooded and the devastation is horrible. That’s something I’m unfortunately a little too familiar with living and reporting in Coastal Virginia. A few Norfolk-based helicopter squadrons are heading toward Houston and I know they will help save lives.
To kick off the work week, I’m sharing this printed work dress with pockets by Of Mercer. This is a great transitional piece for the office as summer starts to wind down. This stretch fabric is incredibly soft and feels like a comfy sweatshirt. Now, who doesn’t like that in a dress we wear to work for at least eight hours? Plus, this is ideal for me as a reporter when I’m out in the field. However, this dress is also great for those who need to travel for work and look professional while being comfortable.
This A-line silhouette is complete with a full skirt, which has nice movement. However, it’s also comfortable and allows any movement you might need. Of course, I love a dress with pockets. Since this dress has a full skirt, the pockets are a good size, fitting a phone and a bit more. Also, I love the crew neck, which is one of my favorites. I usually prefer solids, but this bold print is a statement. I’m wearing a size 0 and it fits me snug. The hem hits right at my knees, which is perfect. Since it’s still summer I’m wearing my usual suede sandals. However, when temperatures dip, switching to black pumps will make for a sleek look.
