Heart Patch Sweater c/o, Black Leggings, Wedge Heel Winter Boots c/o
Slouchy Beanie, Chanel Bag (similar), NARS lipstick
Happy Friday, Y’all! Who watched the Olympics last night?! The Team Event for Figure Skating is still relatively new, considering this is only the second time. I predicted after the U.S. Championships Nathan Chen would skate the short program and Adam Rippon would do the long program and I was right! However, I’m currently mourning Nathan’s uncharacteristic short program skate last night. Normally, he is incredibly consistent and known land quads, but I’d say that was the worst short program of his career. I’m so thankful my coworkers are understanding and consoled me when I pretty much had a meltdown after watching.
Those who know me personally can tell you I love to wear my heart on my sleeve most of the time. That’s why this heart patch sweater is perfect for me! The fabric of this sweater is unbelievably soft. It’s very stretchy and has that perfect slouchy look. You may remember I prefer sweaters with higher necklines because they can really keep the wind at bay. While this is heart patch sweater is certainly festive for Valentine’s Day, it’s perfect for the rest of winter and then for next Holiday season! It’s a great layering piece since you can wear a base layer underneath for extra warmth and then throw a cute vest over top.
Finally, I want to talk about these incredible wedge boots! They are waterproof full-grain leather with a pigskin collar. The warmth factor comes into play with the microfleece lining, which is very cozy. The heel is more than 2.5 inches, which adds a little boost but is still quite comfortable. I really like the lace-up look. Johnny instantly mentioned how they resemble my figure skates, ha! These are great for wearing with leggings and jeans, but also with sweater dresses to add a feminine chic factor.
