Cold Shoulder Little Red Dress c/o, d’Orsay heels c/o, Prada tote
Hello Everyone! I love a good dress you can wear to work and then wear afterward, especially to dinner. I usually work the night shift, 2:30 to 11:30 pm or later some nights. However, once in a blue moon, I work the day shift. Hence allowing me the chance to go out to dinner with friends or on date night with Johnny after what’s usually a stressful, but can be fun and fulfilling week. This cold shoulder little red dress is absolutely perfect for that. It is appropriate enough for work, but daring enough to wear beyond the office. Also, this dress would even work for events requiring cocktail attire. Throw on earrings and swap out your work tote for a clutch and you’re good to go.
While this dress does air on the trendy side, I can easily see myself wearing this on the anchor desk. This dress features a cold shoulder neckline. However, I love the one-inch straps adding a touch of conservativeness. The neckline is very flattering and draws attention upward to the face. Also, I just love the how the red is very vibrant and stands out. This little red dress is a sheath cut and the cinching at the waist is ultra flattering. Another thing I want to point out is there’s a tiny slit in the back. This is great since this fabric doesn’t really stretch. However, it’s not too high to be considered inappropriate.
As far as sizing is concerned, I’m wearing a size 00 and it’s a great fit for me. The hem is spot on and hits me right at the knee. There is a little room in the waist, but not enough for me to take to alterations. Plus, it looks good, so that’s what really matters. This little red dress is fully lined, so keep that in mind if you are going to attempt any alterations yourself. All in all, this is a great dress to take from the desk to dinner.
